How does this work?

How it Works

Owners of a pixel token can burn these tokens specifying a hex colour in the memo field EG #FFFFFF to colour cells on the 32x32 grid. When all pixels are burned everyone who burned pixels will be rewarded with a proportionate number of tokenized final pieces. For example, if you bought five pixels and only burned three, you would only receive three tokenized art pieces.

Burns are read in order of confirmation on the bitcoin blockchain and pixels are coloured according to this order from left to right starting at the top left and ending at the bottom right.

Each collaborative artwork will have a maximum number of pixels available. For the first generation there will be a maximum of 1024 pixels available for sale to colour and draw a 32x32 image.

Only when all the pixels are burned or a given timeframe has passed (to be decided) will the collaborative artwork be minted and distributed. Any invalid information in a burn memo field will result in a white pixel being displayed on the grid. If multiple pixels are burned then the next available grid cells will be coloured in accordance with the number of pixels burned.

Why?

Consider this a kind of social experiment. It will be interesting to see what art people make collectively assuming more than one person buys the pixels required to draw a picture. It will also be interesting if people will work together and join forces to draw something coherently or go to war with one another!
